Subscribe and create your organization

Sign up for the Business plan, name your organization, and invite your attorneys by email. Each person gets their own seat and signs in with their Google account. Your Google Drive becomes the firm's shared vault.

Frequently asked questions

Can the firm decrypt documents on behalf of clients?
No. Only the correct identity factors can produce the decryption key. The firm never has access to decryption keys — this is a security feature, not a limitation. It means even a compromised firm cannot expose client documents.
What if a client loses the secret phrase?
If the firm holds a copy of the sealed envelope containing the phrase, they can provide it. If no copy exists anywhere, the document cannot be decrypted. This is why we recommend storing the phrase through a separate, reliable channel.
What happens when an attorney leaves the firm?
The admin removes them from the organization in Settings. They immediately lose access to the shared vault. Their seat is freed and can be reassigned to a new team member. Before removing, transfer any active client relationships to another attorney.
Can clients view their documents without installing the app?
Yes. The signed web link opens a read-only portal in any browser showing document names, recipients, security levels, dates, and status. No app install, no account creation, no login needed.
Is there a limit on clients or documents?
No. The Business plan supports unlimited clients and unlimited documents. Only seats (team members who can seal documents) are metered.
Do recipients need to pay to decrypt?
Never. Decrypting is always free. Recipients download the app, enter the identity information, and the document unlocks. No subscription, no account, no payment — ever.
Where are the encrypted documents stored?
In your firm's own Google Drive, inside a "Testament Vault" folder. Each client gets their own subfolder. Testament never stores documents on its servers — your Drive, your control.
What about compliance (PDPA, GDPR)?
Testament processes no personal data beyond Google OAuth tokens for sign-in. Client identity information is used momentarily for key derivation and immediately discarded — never stored, never transmitted, never logged. Organization metadata in our system contains only emails and roles.
